Tribute to Hot Coffee Coffee is the black alpaca in the center of the picture. My first encounter with alpacas involved
a visit to a "gentleman" with a herd of 75 or so male alpacas. He hated them. I wanted to rescue all
of them, but could only afford to buy four. Coffee walked up to me in the barn, and bit me on the arm. Not knowing
anything about alpacas, I said "Ok, you can come home with me." That was three years ago and he hasn't
bitten me since. Coffee gives me kisses. He literally puckers up and kisses me when I put my face to his.
When I'm doing shots with the other pacas and they're trying to avoid me, Coffee actually screams at them and they
stop moving. He helps coral them for me to work. He is absolutely incredible. He is the most intelligent
and loving animal I've ever known.

Mr.
Winter (Suri Alpaca)

Mr. Winter was another "rescue" I purchased. I would frequently feel
a soft breath on my arm or neck when doing barn chores and always turned to find him. Mr. Winter was a gentle and loving
spirit. He suffered from a condition called "megaesophagus" and was with me for just over a year.
